Wellbeing Retreat in Cambutal, Panama

The peaceful Panamanian village of Cambutal is located in the province of Los Santos in the Azuero Peninsula. It is about a five-hour drive away from the capital Panama City, and is situated in the southernmost point of Panama. Cambutal’s beautiful beaches and mountains provide the ideal setting for our retreat.

Sansara is an eco-luxury surf and yoga resort recognized by Vogue, Forbes, Conde Naste Traveller & Time. 13 artfully designed cabanas and suites set among tropical gardens on Panama's pacific coast.

For the duration of our stay, we have an exclusive buy-out of the entire property. This ensures a private, intimate environment where our community can fully immerse themselves in the experience without outside distraction.

Our collective intention is a radical return to self. "Love Me" is an invitation to nurture your most vital relationship through yoga, meditation, morning clearing, group coaching, and restorative self-care. Here, with the ocean waves as our setting, we move away from the responsibilities of daily life and back towards a state of self-devotion.

There are only 13 unique cabanas available.

Because these retreats consistently sell out and each room is unique, I recommend securing your preferred cabana early.

Supporting local famers and fisherman, be prepared for a true farm-to-table experience. From Avocado-Toast for breakfast, to Fresh Fish Tacos for lunch, our chefs will ensure you are fueled after all your activities. Dinner is a combination of family style meals to encourage sharing and passing plates, to a three- course chefs menu, utilizing flavors from all over the world with ingredients local to Panama.

Sansara's five oceanfront suites sit directly on Panama's Pacific shoreline in Cambutal, offering unobstructed views of the ocean and the Auzero mountains. Each suite has been artfully designed with local materials and handcrafted details.

La Marea captures the rhythm of the ocean, with a private patio positioned to take in the shifting tides and coastal light. Well-suited for couples, it balances comfort and connection to the Pacific just steps away.

Sansara’s garden view cabanas are surrounded by tropical palm trees and located just steps away from the Pacific Ocean. The three cabanas incorporate traditional design techniques, using renewable materials such as stone and wood to create elegant and comfortable spaces that allow you to connect with the natural world. Our Ranchito and Hanuman cabanas can sleep up to four people, while Rio Grande and Rio Chico sleep two.

Rio Grande - Double Occupancy (1 King or 2 Twins)

Set slightly elevated, Rio Grande offers a more expansive perspective of the coastline and surrounding landscape. It's ideal for guests who want peeking ocean views, with added privacy and a sense of openness.

important travel info

We suggest all guests arrive in Panama City (PTY) on Saturday before your scheduled retreat date and book one night hotel in the historic district (Casco Viejo). This gives you one day/night to explore the historic district. On Sunday morning between 8:30 - 9:00am the included transportation will pick you up from one of the recommended hotels in Casco Viejo. We also suggest enjoying an extra night in Panama City on the return, however if you need to fly out on the Saturday, please book a flight no earlier than 6:00pm. Drop-off's as part of the included transportation on the return, from Sansara to Panama City, are available at the same list of recommended hotels.

CANCELLATION POLICY

All payments made toward the retreat are non-refundable. However, should you need to cancel and we are successfully able to fill your spot from the waiting list, you will receive a refund minus a $750 USD administration fee.
