Wellbeing Retreat in Monterey Bay, California
Asilomar Conference Grounds
August 26 - September 2, 2023
About the Retreat
Do you feel the desire to slow down, pause and reconnect to something other than your day to day responsibilities? Join me on this week long retreat to disconnect from your roles and responsibilities and reconnect to grace.
One of the intentions for this retreat is to establish your daily practice, both meditation and asana (the physical practice of yoga) pre, during and post the retreat. Retreats are necessary to reground and connect to a supportive community but the real shift happens in your every day choices. To support your journey inward and establish your daily practice, you will receive a customized yoga practice based on your mind/body constitution and objectives. This customized practice will be co-created with you prior to the retreat and recorded for you to keep. The morning practices will be focused on this customized sequence with my support. The
afternoon sessions will be guided for the entire group.
A portion of this retreat will be in silence. We often say that silence is the real teacher since it is the ever present witness of your thoughts, experiences and emotions that isn’t always heard. On this immersive retreat, the conditions will be created for you to remove the distractions and listen to the wisdom of your true Self.
You will receive your Primordial Sound Meditation Mantra based on your time, date and place of birth.
60 hours of this retreat will contribute towards my 300hr Advanced Yoga Leadership Teacher Training or Continued Education Credits with Yoga Alliance.
derived from Spanish asilo al mar meaning refuge by the sea
Asilomar Conference Grounds is located on the Western tip of the Monterey Peninsula. It was designed and built by architect Julia Morgan between 1913-1929 and was originally a YWCA.
Asilomar is one of my favorite retreat centers because of the history, nature, walking trails, and beach. It's been the venue of so many spiritual teachers like Wayne Dyer (he filmed the Shift here), Deepak Chopra, Adyashanti and many more. It's rustic. There are no phones or TV's but there is wifi.
Being right on the Pacific ocean amidst the sand dunes, wood burning fireplaces and deer roaming around also supports the journey inward.
